LOS ANGELES: The late King of Pop Michael Jackson was back on stage -- as a hologram -- performing at the Billboard 2014 Music Award event Sunday in Las Vegas.
Jackson, or rather his hologram, sang and moonwalked to “A Slave to the Rhythm” dressed in a gold jacket, white t-shirt and red pants along with a live band and dancers onstage.
The song was recorded in 1991 and released as part of the album “Xscape,”which includes previously unreleased Jackson tracks.
Jackson died in June 2009 after taking an overdose of the powerful sedative propofol. “Xscape” is his second posthumous album.

IF you were to read only the tabloid press in the UK, you could be excused for thinking that an Islamic takeover was imminent. From Sharia courts to the stealthy introduction of halal meat into the national diet, it would appear that a shadowy Muslim army is waiting in the wings.
The current scare is about the revelation that Pizza Express, a national franchise, uses halal chicken in all its poultry-based pizzas. Shock!

Movie Review: 2 States – or how to woo the parents

Directed by Abhishek Varman, the movie is overlong, doesn’t really do anything aesthetically extraordinary and skims over the one thing its male lead – Arjun Kapoor – says in the beginning: “the story should be the hero, no matter if the story has a hero or not”.Pretty quaint and idealistic, and perhaps spoken a little too soon.

Does it work?
Based on Chetan Bhagat’s autobiographical novel, 2 States is about Krish (Kapoor), a young Punjabi college lad who falls for a zesty Tamilian girl Ananya (Alia Bhatt).

Romance between the two leads to some songs about young love (put to music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy), and a subsequent, and mandatory, meet the (very close-minded) parents’ scenario.

God’s Law of Love

God’s Law of Love

We believe that God’s Law of Love as explained in Matthew 22:35–40 should govern every aspect of a Christian’s life and interactions with others. An expert in the Mosaic Law tested Jesus with this question: “‘Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?’ Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” We therefore believe that a Christian’s actions should be motivated by unselfish, sacrificial love—the love of God for our fellow man.

The 7 Spiritual Laws of Love

The 7 Spiritual Laws of Love

The 7 Spiritual Laws of Love
Within every love story hides the wooing of the gods and goddesses. This is one area of life where the practical meets the mythical. For many people the experience of romantic love is their first experience of spirituality, although they may not know it.
The First Stage of Love: Attraction
The Law of Attraction states, “To be attractive, you have to be authentic.” What makes a person attractive? The wisdom traditions tell us that attraction first and foremost comes from naturalness. Nothing is more beautiful than naturalness.

Every religion teaches the Law of Love

Every religion teaches the Law of Love.

Buddhism
Hurt not others with that which pains yourself. Udanavarga 5.18.

Christianity
Always treat others as you would like them to treat you; that is the Law and the Prophets. Bible, Matthew 7:12.

Confucianism
Do not unto others what you would not they should do unto you. Analects 15.23.

Hinduism
This is the sum of duty: Do nothing to others which if done to you, would cause you pain. Mahabharata 5.1517.

Islam
No one of you is a believer until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself. Traditions.
